Royal Reporter Lydia was started by Lydia Alty in May 2018, as an interactive form of royal journalism. The channel, which is run by budding young Royal Journalist, Lydia Alty .

Lydia Alty has been following the British Royal Family since late 2012/early 2013, and has a wealth of knowledge about the British Royal Family, their traditions, their heritage and their way of life. She brings a fresh new look to royal journalism and her informative, insightful, and educational content is appropriate for all ages.

Created by Lydia and powered by Lydia A Entertainment, Royal Reporter Lydia gives a fresh new look at royal journalism, making it educational and fun for her amazing community. Our content is free to watch making it easily accessible to all. This means everyone can watch and keep up to date with Britain’s Busy Royals!

Why Royal Reporter Lydia?

Royal Reporter Lydia gives a unique approach to royal journalism. We upload news as soon as we get it, giving you regular updates from the royal household. Our content is also educational too, but in a fun and exciting way. Our aim is to not just show the incredible work the royals do, but also highlight to our amazing community, and to everyone online for that matter, how important the royal family are and the amazing things they do for our country, our commonwealth and society in general.

Who are we licensed by?

As well as it’s important we keep our community up to date, its also very important that we respect copyright laws and copyright holders for that matter. We have a license to use GettyImages and Shuttershock images, and are fully covered to use both photos and videos from both sites. Royal Reporter Lydia, is a YouTube channel, but also a reporting and commentary channel and so we can use some images and videos under fair use act, or fair dealing as it is known in the UK. If we use palace images, we will credit them to the rightful photographer out of respect to the photographer.

The Royal Rewind 2023: The second documentary by Royal Reporter Lydia. This documentary looked back at young royals- Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’ momentous moments in 2023- also known as the coronation year to many. It also featured important moments from all the royals including the coronation of King Charles III and Trooping the colour, as well as Prince Louis’ first engagement.

Prince George at 10: Raising a Future King- Birthday Documentary: Royal Reporter Lydia’s debut Royal Documentary focusing on a decade of His Royal Highness Prince George of Wales. This documentary shows the young prince growing and was posted to mark his tenth birthday. Some of the credits include many creators from our Royal News Department and client Owen Brindley.

Coronation Coverage: We were honoured to be able to get all the latest from the coronation and have the opportunity to share it with our amazing community. The coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla was a magic ceremony and a weekend of Traditional British Pomp and pageantry!
